İngiltere’de müzayede evi Sotheby’s’in online ve telefon üzerinden yaptığı açık arttırmada “İslam Dünyası ve Hindistan Sanatları” başlıklı 183 eserden oluşan koleksiyonun 58. sırasındaki Kanuni portresi, 60 bin sterlinden (691 bin TL) satışa sunuldu. Verilen tekliflerle fiyatı artan eser, 350 bin sterline (4 milyon TL) alıcı buldu. Satın alan kişi veya kurumun ismi ise henüz açıklanmadı. Alıcı, vergileriyle beraber 438 bin sterlin (yaklaşık 5 milyon TL) ödeyecek.
